Install Axolot on your device
Access Axolot like a native app, with an icon on the desktop or dock and a dedicated window.
Axolot can be installed from your browser without downloading a separate file. The installed app always opens the online accounting panel, and your data stays on our secure servers in Switzerland.
Chrome or Edge (Windows, macOS, Android)
- Sign in to Axolot from Chrome or Edge.
- Accept the “Install” prompt at the bottom of the screen, or open the browser menu (⋮) then “Install app” or “Install Axolot”.
- Launch Axolot from the icon added to the desktop, Start menu or dock.
Safari (iPhone, iPad, macOS)
- Open Axolot in Safari.
- On iPhone or iPad, tap Share, then “Add to Home Screen”.
- On Mac, use the File menu → “Add to Dock” (depending on Safari version).
Internet connection
The installed app requires an internet connection to work. There is no offline accounting mode, and invoicing, banking, VAT and sync always go through the online service.
System notifications work as in the browser, so allow notifications when the app asks (see also Interface & navigation). On iPhone and iPad, install the app first, because Web Push is not available in Safari without installation.
