Two-factor authentication (2FA)

A second factor is required to protect your Axolot ID. Two methods are available, configurable from the « Security » tab of your profile.

  • SMS, where a code is sent to your verified number at each sign-in (enabled by default after sign-up with a validated phone).
  • Authenticator app (TOTP), such as Google Authenticator, Authy or equivalent, with recovery codes to store safely.

You can enable both methods at once. To disable one, the other must remain active to avoid locking your account.

Profile

Your profile is organised into three tabs.

  • My account, to change your name, e-mail and phone number.
  • Security, to change your password and manage your two-factor authentication methods (SMS and TOTP app).
  • My data, to export all of your personal data (JSON/CSV) in accordance with FADP art. 28.
